Through March 19, Newzones Gallery of Contemporary Art in Calgary is presenting Sarah Nind’s Pistes et Points (Stripes and Dots) and the group show Perception. Pistes et Points explores visual information and the chaotic nature of today’s image-based world. Nind uses a mixed-media approach to layer multiple images and create tension in their meaning. Perception features photo-based artwork that has been manipulated in various ways, including the use of wax, paint, Plexiglas and digital alterations.
