The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation, the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC), and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection have announced a photo contest to mark 10 years of permanent protection for Ontario’s Greenbelt, which includes nearly 2 million acres. Through October 15, photographers of all skill levels who reside in Ontario may submit images through the contest’s online portal. The categories are Nature, Farming, People and Close-ups. Photos should be taken within the Greenbelt or have a subject related to the Greenbelt; the specific contest rules can be seen here. Winning images in each category will be announced on November 7 and will travel in a touring exhibition to various locations along the Greenbelt.
