Jayu and Community Story Strategies are presenting a youth photo exhibition in three galleries in downtown Toronto over the coming weeks. The I Am exhibition is the result of Jayu’s #CaptureTheStreets Project. This project included six photography workshops where six mobile photographers worked with 10 at-risk and homeless youth at Horizons for Youth. Each workshop focused on a particular skill or technique and included a city walk where the youth got to practice what they learned. The I Am exhibition presents the work of these youth participants, as a way for them to share their stories. The exhibition will tour to three Toronto galleries: Scrim4Rent from June 19 to 28 (88A Nassau Street), Centre For Social Innovation (Annex) from July 3 to 12 (720 Bathurst Street), and Brimz from July 15 to 26 (321 Queen Street West). The opening is on June 19 at 7 p.m. at Scrim4Rent.
