The World Photography Organisation (WPO) has announced the Open, Youth and Mobile Photo winners of the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards. The Open and Youth Competition categories were judged by an expert panel. The Mobile Phone Competition shortlist of 20 images was selected by a team of expert judges, and the winners were chosen by public voting on the WPO website. During the one-week online voting period, there were over 15,200 votes cast. The winning and shortlisted images of the Sont World Photography Awards competition will be exhibited at London’s Somerset House from April 24 through May 10. All winners will be awarded the latest digital imaging equipment from Sony.

Creative Director of the World Photography Organisation and organiser of the awards Astrid Merget Motsenigos said, “Every year we are astounded by the quality of images we receive to the Open and Youth competitions. These talented photographers capture in a single shot moments of great drama, passion, intrigue and humour, but above all each photograph displays wonderful artistry and skill. We are proud to be able to give recognition to these photographers and provide a platform on which their work can be seen by the world.  Congratulations to all our winners.”
