ProFusion Photo and Video Expo will be held on October 15 and 16 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto. With a 70,000-foot showroom, this expo celebrates the pro imaging industry in Canada with almost 100 exhibitors, exciting product launches, show specials and sales, seminars and workshops by renowned artists, and an interactive environment to check out new products and technology. “For anyone who’s seriously into photography or video, ProFusion is a must-see event,” said Vistek VP Kevin Parker. “It’s NAB, Photokina and IBC under one roof, a Canadian showcase for the best international brands in the world.
The keynote speakers will be cinematographers Shane Hurlbut and Alistair Chapman. Other seminars will cover a wide range of topics, including contemporary wedding photography, sports photography, commercial licensing and stock photography, marketing and branding, point-of-view cameras, understanding green screen, lighting, lingerie and fine-art nudes, and posing and directing techniques.
You can check out the latest in 4K, quadcopters, wireless, LED lighting, camera rigs and stabilizers. There will be an experience with live models and free demo theatres where you can check out new products and ask questions. The Sony 4K World booth is five times bigger than last year—now 2000 square feet—and the Canadian launch of Sony’s PXW-FS7 will happen during ProFusion. The Canon interactive booth will have video music video shoots and fashion shoots, and the weekend will include the Canadian launch of the Canon EOS 7D Mark II. ProFusion’s new downtown location makes the expo easily accessible by public transportation, and there is parking available too. For tickets or more information, please visit their website.
