For those of you in the Montreal area, there will be a guided bird walk on Mont Royal on September 20 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The walk is with Bird Protection Quebec, and the event is free and open to all. (However, the activity is not suitable for small children.) The walk will begin at the front steps of the Redpath Museum and end at the Mount Royal Cemetery. There are, according to the Quebec Breeding Atlas, 182 different species of birds present in the habitat and the walk is a great chance to see a number of them.
