From April 25 through May 25, Nicholas Metivier Gallery in Toronto will be presenting an exhibition of Sebastião Salgado’s work during the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival. Salgado’s black-and-white images consider the impact of globalization on humanity and the environment. He often lives for weeks in the environment of his subjects. This will be the Brazilian documentary photographer’s first exhibition in Canada. The opening reception will be on April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.
