Between Princely India and the British Raj: The Photography of Raja Deen Dayal. This feature exhibition in this year’s Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is the first North American solo exhibition of work by Raja Deen Dayal, one of the most prominent photographers of 19-century India. More than 100 works will be on view, along with a vintage Dallmeyer camera from Dayal’s studio. There are four sections to the exhibition: The Business of Photography, Civil Works and Princely States, Royal Photographer: Hyderabad, and The Art of Portraiture.
