Toni Blakelock from Barrie, Ont., has been an avid walker on the Barrie trail along Kempenfelt Bay for over 10 years. Then several years ago, she got a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 and got into doing macro nature photography on the trail. Through photography, Blakelock says she finds peace of mind and relaxation. She has begun leading volunteer walks and photo talks for senior adults, telling us that that seniors are glad to have someone help them better understand how to use their cameras. Blakelock will also be leading a 4-week macro-photography course with Barrie Parks and Recreation this April and May.If you have a story about how photography has made a difference in your life that you would like us to consider for a Reader Spotlight, please send it to us at email@example.com.
