Nikon Canada today announced the release of the D7100 HD-SLR, designed
to provide experienced shooters and photo enthusiasts with superb
DX-format image quality and functionality with intuitive features and a
robust feature set with advanced-level functionality.
Some of the key features of the D7100 include the following:
- 24.1-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor
- Full HD (1080p) video recording
- 51-point AF system with wide-area coverage
- Wide ISO range of 100-6400 (expandable to Hi-2 of 25,600)
- Rapid response and operation for the ability to shoot up to six
frames per second at full resolution
- 1.3x crop mode
- 3.2-inch LCD screen with high resolution of 1,229K dots
- Viewfinder with Organic EL that allows users to see 100 per cent
frame coverage
- Spot white balance allows for quick and precise adjustment while
shooting in live view
- Designed with the same moisture- and dust-resistance specifications
of the Nikon D300s
- Compatibility with the optional WU-1a wireless mobile adapter
Additionally, Nikon Canada announced the WR-1 Transceiver for Nikon
digital SLR cameras. This device uses 2.4Ghz radio frequency for maximum
range (approximately 394 feet on 15 available channels) when
communicating with the camera.
